Evangelist Ebuka Obi has stirred controversy online after claiming that oral sex—specifically cunnilingus—is the reason many women are no longer ovulating or menstruating.

In a now-viral video from one of his recent sermons, the cleric was seen passionately preaching against the act, warning female congregants about the spiritual and biological implications of receiving oral sex from men.

According to Obi, repeated exposure to men’s tongues in the female genital area can allegedly “damage eggs” and disrupt a woman’s menstrual cycle.

“There are girls today who are no longer ovulating or seeing their period because of tongues going into their lady parts,” he said to his congregation.

The evangelist, who is known for his fiery sermons on morality, has often condemned the act of cunnilingus in his messages. However, critics have noted his consistent silence on fellatio—oral sex performed on men—prompting accusations of bias and gendered preaching.
