Iran-Israel War : Missiles launched, death toll rises, no end in sight

Quick Read

The Tehran metro system is now operating 24 hours a day to allow people to take refuge underground during air raids. Although there are reports of dozens killed in Iran, the government

Missiles from Iran:

Israel’s military has confirmed that Iran launched more missiles into Israeli territory on Sunday, adding to the growing tension between the two countries. The new attacks led to renewed warnings for Israeli citizens to stay near bomb shelters. Although the Home Front Command later gave permission for people to leave shelters, they were advised to remain close to safety zones in case of further strikes.

These latest missile barrages mark a dangerous new phase in the conflict, as it was the first time Iran launched missiles during the day since the current wave of violence began on Friday.

Explosions in Tehran:

Heavy explosions were reported in Iran’s capital, Tehran, on Sunday as Israel continued its airstrikes. Israeli forces have been targeting key infrastructure, including energy facilities and defense sites.

The Israeli military issued a strong statement saying, “We don’t stop striking for one moment,” signaling that the operation is far from over. Witnesses in Tehran described loud booms, shaking buildings, and widespread fear, especially in densely populated areas.

Rising Death Toll in Israel:

The conflict has already claimed many lives. Israeli officials confirmed that at least 13 people have been killed due to the hostilities.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited one of the attack sites where four people died. Speaking at the scene, he said, “Think what would happen if Iran had atomic weapons.” He emphasized that one of Israel’s top priorities is to stop Iran from developing nuclear weapons, which the government believes would pose a grave threat to regional and global security.

Tehran Residents Fleeing:

In Iran, the situation is equally tense. Many residents of Tehran have begun fleeing to the countryside in search of safety, fearing more Israeli airstrikes. Others are rushing to stockpile food, water, medicine, and other essentials.

The Tehran metro system is now operating 24 hours a day to allow people to take refuge underground during air raids. Although there are reports of dozens killed in Iran, the government has not released an official death toll yet, adding to the uncertainty and fear gripping the nation.

More Fighting Expected:

There appears to be no quick end in sight. According to senior officials in both Israel and the United States, Israel’s military operation is expected to last “weeks, not days.” While the United States has not officially taken part in the strikes, the Israeli government believes it has quiet backing from Washington. U.S. President Donald Trump stated that his country “had nothing to do with” Israel’s actions but issued a strong warning to Iran, saying that the U.S. would respond if American personnel or facilities were attacked.

As the situation continues to unfold, the international community is watching with growing concern. The fear now is that the ongoing war could escalate further, potentially pulling in more countries and destabilizing the entire Middle East region.
