Quick Read

According to a report by Transferfeed, Spurs have shown a keen interest in the Super Eagles star as they look to strengthen their midfield options ahead of the new season.

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly joined fellow Premier League side West Ham United in the race to sign Nigerian international midfielder Raphael Onyedika from Belgian club, Club Brugge.

According to a report by Transferfeed, Spurs have shown a keen interest in the Super Eagles star as they look to strengthen their midfield options ahead of the new season.

West Ham had earlier been linked with the 23-year-old, but Tottenham’s entry into the transfer battle could intensify competition for the player’s signature.

Onyedika, known for his strong defensive skills and ability to control the tempo of a game, has steadily risen through the ranks in Europe and has caught the eye of several top clubs with his performances in the Belgian Pro League and in European competitions.

Club Brugge, on their part, appear to be preparing for the possible departure of the Nigerian midfielder.

The Belgian giants have already secured the signing of Ludovit Reis from German club Hamburg, who is seen as a direct replacement for Onyedika.

The Nigerian midfielder remains under contract with Club Brugge until June 2027, and his current market value is estimated at 20 million euros, according to Transfermarkt.

If a deal is completed, this move would mark Onyedika’s first experience in the English Premier League, and further boost Nigeria’s growing presence in top European clubs.

His potential switch will also add to the excitement among Super Eagles fans, who are eager to see more of their stars shine on the global stage.
