Canadian rapper and global music icon, Drake, has shocked fans after revealing he lost a staggering $124 million to gambling within the span of just one month.

The Grammy-winning artist, known for chart-topping hits like One Dance and God’s Plan, took to his Instagram story to share a screenshot from the popular betting platform, Stake, where he is known to place high-stakes bets. The image, which quickly went viral, displayed total losses amounting to $124,527,265 — all within the last 30 days.

In the caption accompanying the screenshot, Drake appeared visibly affected by the loss.

“Gotta share the other side of gambling… Losses are so fried right now. I hope I can post a big win for you all soon cause I’m the only one that has never a max — these guys max once a week,” he wrote, hinting at his frustration and possible disappointment with his losing streak.

This is not the first time Drake has made headlines for his gambling activities. In August 2024, he lost $450,000 after betting on UFC fighter Israel Adesanya, who was defeated by Dricus du Plessis in a middleweight title bout. Just a few months later, in November 2024, Drake placed another bold bet of $355,000 on boxing legend Mike Tyson in his comeback fight against YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul. Tyson lost the match, adding to the rapper’s long list of high-profile gambling defeats.

Drake’s consistent engagement with sports betting has drawn mixed reactions from fans and critics. While some admire his willingness to take risks, others express concern about the potential influence his gambling lifestyle could have on younger fans and followers.

Despite the massive losses, Drake remains one of the wealthiest figures in the music industry, with a net worth estimated to be in the hundreds of millions. Still, the emotional toll and public transparency surrounding his losses reveal a side of gambling that many celebrities often hide — the cost behind the glamour.

As fans await a possible turnaround and “big win” from the rapper, his latest confession serves as a cautionary tale on the volatile nature of high-stakes betting, no matter how rich or famous one may be.
