An Ugandan military helicopter carrying eight people has crashed at Aden Adde International Airport in Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia.
The incident happened on Tuesday in the military section of the airport. After the helicopter hit the ground, a fire broke out, but emergency services arrived quickly and managed to control the flames before they spread further.

According to Ahmed Maalim, head of the aviation authority, the helicopter had flown into Mogadishu from Balidogle airbase, which is located in the Lower Shabelle region of Somalia.
