Ghanaian-American singer Amaarae has stirred conversation online after revealing the shocking reason she vowed never to eat food prepared in anyone’s home again.
In a recent interview with media personality Madame Joyce, the Sad Girls Love Money crooner explained how witnessing someone wash lettuce in a bathroom sink made her develop a strong aversion to eating in other people’s homes.
“I went to a barbecue, and I saw the owner of the house washing lettuce in their bathroom sink. I was just waiting for the burger. But the moment I saw that, I said, ‘Never again,’” she recounted.
Amaarae emphasized her commitment to personal hygiene, expressing disgust at habits such as brushing in the bedroom, tossing food-related trash in inappropriate bins, and using the same sponge for dishes and wine glasses.
“I don’t like mixing bathroom and bedroom things. Some people brush their teeth and walk around the house. That’s disgusting,” she said.
