Shenseea faces backlash over controversial statement

Jamaican dancehall singer Chinsea Linda Lee, also known as Shenseea, has received backlash over her opinion on divorce.

The singer took to her X page on Sunday to state that she doesn’t believe in divorce. Shenseea stated that she believes in working things out rather than separation.

“I don’t believe in divorce. We gon’ have to learn to love each other again,” she wrote.

The singer received numerous backlash over her opinion on the topic. Many pointed out that she is currently a single mother, so her opinion sounds hypocritical.

Some users also claimed that she was encouraging people to stay in abusive relationships.
