Moji revealed that she was blacklisted by film marketers after rejecting their sexual advances.

Veteran Nollywood actress, Moji Afolayan, has finally broken her silence on why she vanished from the movie scene for over a decade.

Moji revealed that she was blacklisted by film marketers after rejecting their sexual advances.

In an interview on Oyinmomo TV, the 57-year-old actress, who is married to fellow actor Ojopagogo, disclosed that her principled stance against exchanging sex for roles led to her being sidelined by key players in the industry.

“Before now, marketers used to give producers money to work. But because I refused their sexual advances, they held a meeting among themselves and agreed not to call me for work,” she said.

Moji, daughter of the late legendary actor Ade Love, stated that while the move impacted her income and fame, she never compromised her values. “I did not sleep with any of them because I can’t trade my body for films. It’s my principle… They denied me movie roles because I didn’t offer myself for sex. Although it affected my income and fame, I cherish my body more than every other thing,” she emphasized.

She further alleged that several married actresses secretly engage in such practices to land roles, often bringing their husbands to wait outside while they meet with marketers behind closed doors.

“Marketers made them stars. Their posters were all around. But I thank God that I stood with my dignity. That is what I am enjoying today,” she added.
