Popular Nigerian comedian, Oghenekowhoyan Onaibe Desmond, widely known as Destalker, has confirmed that his marriage has ended after three years.
Speaking in a recent interview with content creator Timi Agbaje, the award-winning entertainer revealed that he is now divorced, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason behind the split.
Destalker, who had kept his marital life away from the public eye, stated that despite the divorce, he remains happy and at peace with his decision.
“I am happy. I’ve a happy home. I was married but not anymore. Marriage is not a criteria for a happy home,” he said.
Reflecting on the relationship, he disclosed that he married his partner just six months after they began dating.
He went on to comment on the gender controversies surrounding marriage and remarriage, stating, “I can decide to remarry next week Friday or Saturday. But a woman can’t. It’s a man’s decision for marriage.”
