Eze’s absence sparks Arsenal transfer talk as Palace fans react to new kit launch
Crystal Palace have unveiled their new home kit for the 2025/26 season, but the absence of Eberechi Eze from the promotional materials has raised questions amid ongoing interest from Arsenal.
The Eagles’ new home kit was launched earlier this week, and it included Marc Guehi, Jean-Philippe Mateta, and Adam Wharton. But where was Eze, and the fans are not pleased.
With Arsenal highly rumored for the player, supporters feel that the fact that the winger wasn’t included in the matchday team is proof positive he’s gone.
“Where is Eze?,” said one supporter on social media. “No Eze in the kit announcement?” asked another.
Eze is also not likely to feature in Crystal Palace’s pre-season friendly match against Millwall on Saturday, adding to the speculation. The 26-year-old has been the subject of serious interest from Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal but no bid has been forthcoming.
The experienced QPR legend had a highlight season last term, netting eight times and supplying eight assists as Palace finished 12th in the Premier League. He ended his campaign by finding the net in the FA Cup final winner as Palace landed their first ever major title.
The fans fear that he might be the next major one to depart Selhurst Park. Guehi and Mateta, who attended the kit unveiling, have also been rumored with summer departures, but the eyebrows were raised with the absence of Eze.
In contrast, Crystal Palace were dismissed from the Europa League this week following claims of multi-club ownership against shareholder John Textor, and the club will now compete in the UEFA Conference League.
