Centre-back Gbolagade Adelowo nets first NPFL goal at 18 in 3SC victory

Teenage defender Gbolagade Adelowo etched his name into the scoresheet for the first time in his professional career on Sunday, October 29, as Shooting Stars SC (3SC) claimed a confident 3–1 win over Doma United at the Adamasingba Stadium.

At just 18 years old—born March 3, 2005—Adelowo, who plays as a centre back, opened his NPFL goal account in impressive fashion.

The goal came in the 34th minute when he connected with a perfectly delivered corner kick, heading home to give 3SC a commanding 2–0 lead.

Known for his composure, positioning, and physical presence in defense, Adelowo’s goal was an added bonus on a day where he also delivered a solid defensive display.

Speaking after the match, the young defender said:
