Why modern marriages fail – Blessing CEO speaks out

Controversial relationship therapist, Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, has shared her perspective on why many modern marriages are falling apart.

Speaking in a recent interview with Instablog TV, Blessing CEO blamed the breakdown of marriages in today’s society on excessive communication and overdependence on social media.

According to her, the traditional support systems that once helped couples navigate conflicts have weakened greatly.

She noted that while women’s exposure and financial independence are commendable achievements, they sometimes create a power imbalance in relationships.

“A lot of women today begin to ‘rub shoulders’ with their husbands once they start making money,” she said. “When women become too assertive or competitive, men often feel their masculinity is threatened—not by the success itself, but by how it is expressed.”

Blessing CEO further claimed that some men may seek comfort outside their marriages or even end them altogether if they feel overshadowed.

“No man is intimidated by your success,” she insisted. “They are only afraid of the masculinity that comes with it. That’s why women should remember to stay soft, no matter how much they have.”

She concluded by urging women to maintain a balance between independence and femininity, warning that losing that balance could lead to emotional distance or infidelity from their partners.
