Why I rejected marriage before 30 – Chioma Good Hair

Nigerian entrepreneur and celebrity hair guru, Chioma Ikokwu, popularly known as Chioma Good Hair, has advised fans to stop pressuring her into marriage, stating that her single status is by choice, not circumstance.

In a Snapchat exchange, Chioma responded to a fan urging her to settle down, stressing that societal pressure won’t dictate her decisions.

She declared that despite being in her 30s, she still has time and will wait for God’s perfect timing rather than rush into a union that may not last.

“I promise you that I’m not married right now. It’s not by circumstance. It’s by choice. I’m not going to settle because everyone’s walking down the aisle, and some are getting divorced six months later,” she wrote.

Reflecting on her growth journey, Chioma admitted she wasn’t ready for marriage before turning 30, adding that anyone who had married her then would have ended up in tears. She said she wanted to explore life, build her career, and enjoy freedom before committing to marriage.

“Tbh, anyone that would’ve married me before 30 would’ve cried because I truly wasn’t ready,” she added.
