Nigeria’s head coach, Stephen Keshi is expected to bag a CAF B licence in a matter of days, SuperSport.com has been informed.

A member of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, Technical Committee, Christian Chukwu revealed that Keshi, 49, will part of a coaching programme billed to hold in the country later this year.

He added that the participation of the coach will put an end to the controversy which CAF raised about Keshi’s qualification to handle the Nigerian men’s team.

“There’s no controversy over that because Keshi is experienced enough to be coach of our national team. But I think what CAF is talking about is grading of coaches, which he is not a part of right now.

“I know there is a coaching course coming up for CAF B licence in the country, so he will be part of it just as many of us who are coaches in the country will take part in that programme,” he said.

CAF has insisted that coaches without a B licence will not qualify to sit on the bench when their teams take part in competitions organised by the African football governing body.

Keshi has already got off his managerial career with the Super Eagles in two international friendly games against Botswana and Zambia.
