Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has extended warm congratulations to the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Akeem Abimbola Owoade I, as he marks his 50th birthday.

In a statement celebrating the monarch’s life and leadership, Governor Makinde praised Oba Owoade for his contributions to the cultural heritage and unity of Oyo people.

He described the traditional ruler’s life as meaningful and impactful, highlighting that his recent ascension to the throne was a remarkable milestone.

According to the governor, the Alaafin’s life journey has been full of achievements, and reaching the age of 50 while holding such an important and historic title is truly significant.

“I celebrate the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Akeem Abimbola Owoade I, on the occasion of his 50th birthday,” Governor Makinde said.

“It is heartwarming to see that Kabiyesi’s life over the past five decades has not only been gracious but also full of notable accomplishments.

His recent ascension to the revered throne of his ancestors is indeed a major highlight of his journey.”

Governor Makinde expressed confidence that Oba Owoade’s reign will bring about positive transformation and progress in Oyo State.

He stated that the monarch’s leadership is coming at a time when the state needs a renewed sense of identity, unity, and development.

“I am optimistic that the years ahead will bring even more grace to Kabiyesi and that his leadership will usher in a golden era of peace, prosperity, and cultural pride for Oyo,” he said.

“His wisdom, humility, and dedication to the people are qualities that will continue to strengthen the traditional institution and inspire future generations.”

The governor concluded his message by offering prayers for the monarch, wishing him a long life, good health, and a peaceful reign.

“On behalf of the Government and the good people of Oyo State, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to His Imperial Majesty.

May God Almighty continue to strengthen, guide, and protect Kabiyesi as he leads our people with honor and dignity,” Makinde said.
