Nigerian singer Timi Dakolo has publicly called out Morocco’s national airline, Royal Air Maroc (RAM), over his missing luggage, which he claims has been withheld since June 26.
In a video shared via his Instagram page on Thursday, Dakolo narrated how his bag was last seen when he boarded a business class flight from Lagos to Morocco, en route to Freetown, Sierra Leone.
According to the singer, despite being assured that his luggage would be loaded on the flight, it never arrived at his final destination.
“I saw my bag from where I was seated,” Dakolo said in the video. “They told me it would be put in, and it wasn’t. I got to Freetown, and my bag was missing.”
Dakolo stated that he immediately filed a report, followed up with calls and emails, and even contacted the Nigerian Aviation Handling Company (NAHCO), but more than three weeks later, his luggage remains missing.
“It’s beginning to look like they stole my stuff,” he said. “Air Maroc, please return my full luggage. It’s not just any bag.”
Supporting Dakolo’s claim, media personality Daddy Freeze also took to Instagram to demand an explanation from the airline. “Air Maroc, please, what is going on with Timi Dakolo’s bag?” he asked in his video, calling on relevant authorities to intervene.
