Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has publicly apologised to fellow actress Mercy Johnson and politician Senator Ned Nwoko, admitting that her past outbursts were made in pain and were hurtful.

In an Instagram post, Okorie reflected on her recent actions, stating that she is human and sometimes lets emotions cloud her judgment.

She acknowledged that her previous utterances, particularly aimed at Johnson were not only hurtful but misrepresentative of her true intentions.

“Having reminisced on certain events that transpired, I can only thank God I’m alive. I realise now that my utterances, whether uttered from a place of pain or not, were hurtful,” she wrote.

To Mercy Johnson, whom she had repeatedly called out online over undisclosed issues, Okorie expressed deep regret and appealed for forgiveness, stating, “Your mental health is very important now and ever, and I wouldn’t wish you or your family worse.”

She also extended an apology to Senator Ned Nwoko, noting that her previous remarks were a result of misplaced anger and not intended to disrespect him.

“My sincere apology also goes to Senator Ned Nwoko. I understand that my anger in trying to make a reply didn’t find you in a good state,” she stated, recalling her past involvement in his political campaigns and family events.

Angela’s apology comes after a year-long online feud that escalated earlier this year when she claimed to have forgiven Mercy Johnson, allegedly due to the actress’s health condition. Her comments stirred further backlash, with Regina Daniels — Nwoko’s wife — describing Okorie as “mad” and urging Johnson not to forgive.

In the post, Angela also spoke about being the target of betrayal and lies, blaming bloggers for spreading falsehoods about her. However, she emphasized that she has chosen peace over conflict.

“All these have made me realize that being at peace is better than war or fighting. I deeply regret my actions and am sorry,” she concluded.
