Nigerian woman, Etumudon Doris nabbed with Cocaine worth millions at Indian train station

A Nigerian woman, identified as Etumudon Doris has been arrested in India with hard drugs worth over N6 million in a major anti-drug operation.

The suspect was reportedly picked up at Panvel Railway Station near Mumbai on Friday, July 19, 2025.

According to Indian authorities, the arrest was made after the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) got a tip-off about a smuggling attempt on the Hazrat Nizamuddin-Ernakulam Mangala Express train.

When the train arrived at platform number 7, security officials found Doris traveling with a baby.

On searching her luggage, officers discovered two rectangular black packages labeled ‘VINTAGE’, which later tested positive for cocaine weighing 2.002 kg. Another 1.488 kg of methamphetamine was also recovered.

The drugs were seized, and Doris was handed over to the NCB for further investigation.

Authorities say the woman confessed to being in possession of the narcotics during interrogation.
