In a detailed Instagram post titled “My Manila Immigration Nightmare”, the entertainer alleged that she and her friend were detained, strip-searched, filmed, and forced to sleep on the floor in a facility resembling a detention centre—despite presenting valid visas, sponsorship letters, and return tickets.

Popular Nigerian Disc Jockey, Rachel Oluwabukola Martins, widely known as DJ Dimple Nipple, has taken to social media to share an account of her recent experience with Philippine immigration authorities, describing it as one of the most traumatic moments of her life.

“I was so excited about my gig in the Philippines. I had made all the necessary arrangements, spent money, and genuinely looked forward to the experience,” she wrote.

DJ Dimple Nipple narrated how their journey from Lagos to Manila via Qatar was met with hostility the moment they landed. Immigration officers, she claimed, treated them with suspicion and subjected them to hours of questioning and invasive searches.

“We greeted the officers politely, but they were cold and unwelcoming… Then came the humiliation.”

She further accused Philippine authorities of extortion and discrimination, questioning why Nigerians are granted visas only to be treated like criminals on arrival.

“If you don’t want Nigerians, why approve our visas and take our money? Why detain and shame us when we arrive legally? Why not just place a travel ban?”

Martins also criticized the lack of accountability and dignity in how the situation was handled, calling on the Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs and immigration service to explain the rationale behind such actions.
