The Coordinated Arewa Youths Groups, on Thursday, appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to appoint Nasir Bala Aminu (Ja’oji) the new Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, for symbolic illustration of his government’s interest to the development of youths in the North and across the country.
The Arewa youths who praised President Tinubu for his unwavering support to the development of the North and the entire youths across the country, insisted that Nasir has all the experience and credentials to serve creditably as Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation in the current administration.
According to them, Nasir remains the right choice to replace Mr. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, who was, on Thursday, unanimously endorsed as the National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), by the party’s National Executive Council (NEC).
A statement signed by the North-West Zonal Coordinator of the group, Balarabe Abdullahi Jega, and made available to journalists in Kano, on Thursday, called on President Tinubu to, ” kindly appreciate our own, a voice for the voiceless youth across North, whose unmatched contributions to youth development, was acknowledged recently by the Emir of Daura, as he crowned him Adon Garin Kasar Hausa – The Jewel of Hausa Land – Hon Nasir Bala Aminu (Ja’oji), who is currently a member of the Governing Council of Federal College of Education (Technical), Potiskum, Yobe State.”
Balarabe stated that the group has the large concentration of APC supporters from North West geo-political zone, adding that they are, “respectfully calling the good attention of our dear President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to kindly consider our zone, particularly Kano, which gave the highest votes to the President, during 2023 general election.”
The group described Nasir as a renowned and respected youth of great substance in Kano State and beyond, “whose contributions to humanity is acknowledged by many within and outside Kano state, his home state.
“His contributions to human development generally, is unwavering and patriotic. He runs special scholarships for students within and outside Nigeria. He believes in APC’s policy, projects and programmes. With unwavering loyalty to our dear President.”
Balarabe added that: “Ja’oji’s name rings bell within the political class in the North and within the grassroot people, who own real and genuine votes.
“All his programmes as a philanthropist are cutting-edge with the touch of global best practices. As a member of Governing Council, he does what none of our present Ministers who come from Kano state, cannot attempt to do. His capacity is well defined and appreciated by all.
“Ja’o’ji is but a household name in party politics, with grassroot support and absolute loyalty to the President. His interventions in many areas, youth inclusion, women empowerment, national integration and love for party survival are noticed across North.
“He has been a mentor to many groups and associations, that have national development as their cardinal principles.
“When Hon Ja’oji is appointed as our next Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, we are assuring Mr President that, he won’t regret the choice and confidence that would be reposed in him. He has all it takes for the position. The capacity is undoubtedly there, political will is always available and loyalty to the President will be his main thrust for engagement and commitment.”
