Onyeka Onwenu’s son pays tribute to late mother

Tijani Ogunlende, son of the late veteran singer Onyeka Onwenu, has paid tribute to his mother to mark the first anniversary of her passing

Taking to his Instagram page, Ogunlede wrote a note, in memory of his mother.

“A year ago, today. RIP mom. July 30, 2024,” he wrote.

The popular icon passed away by collapsing after a performance at Stella Okolie’s 80th birthday party. She was rushed to the hospital and was pronounced dead.

Notable Nigerian artists and celebrities expressed their grief over her death after the news spread.
