BBNaija 10: The ‘crazy’ things Imisi does in Biggie’s house

One can hardly get a handle on Opeyemi Ayanwale, aka, Imisi, the lady who is arguably the most-talked housemate in the BBNaija Season 10 reality show. While some believe she is a pain in the neck, others insist she is a vibe. While some see her as crude, as “razz”, others see her as the best thing that has ever happened to Big Brother Naija reality show. But those ‘crazy and crude’ things she does are what make many to be repelled or attracted to her, depending on which of the divide they are.

This is the lady who when her fellow housemates was talking about scotch bonnet, she couldn’t help but asked what that was about and would rather prefer to call it ‘rodo’ which means scotch bonnet in Yoruba, her native language.

This is the lady who did not only wear slippers to the Big Brother Naija show but also pulled off her wig as soon as she entered the house.

This is the lady who kept struggling with the high heels she wore to the dinner party and later pulled them off, saying she would wear them later.

This is a lady who told Koyin “when I’m high, I love someone touching me, and I also like touching someone too. Are you going to get high? ‘

She has done many other crazy and funny things, which are too numerous to mention here and which left her colleagues and viewers not only dumbfounded but also reeling with laughter. Many see her as a seductress, as she has being seen in very romantic situations with housemates such as Koyin, Kaybobo and Faith, to mention a few. But she can’t be pinned down to any particular male housemate for now. And she has also engaged in many fights.

“Where did Big Brother bring this lady from?” Many keep asking. But many are wont to dismiss her uncanny behavior as mere theatrics, as mere show, that it is just a strategy to get the support of fans and win the $100, 000 prize money.

Still, others believe she is bringing vibes to the house and creating content. They believe that it is her kind of ‘madness’ that they want and ready to give her the support that she needs and they don’t care if her uncanny and funny behaviour in the house are parts of her strategy.

Yet, the 23 year old fashion designer who hails from Awe in Oyo State but lives in Lagos is playing her game very well. She once said she does not know who she is. And on another occasion she said she knows who she is, that is she just herself, a young girl from Ebute-Meta

But the truth is, Imisi is under no illusion why she is in the house. She said right from the outset that she is in Biggie’s house to show the world who she really is. And that her strategy in the house is to be herself.

Who then is Imisi? That bunch of contradiction that she is, that inability to define who she really is as well as the unpredictability and spontaneity that she brings to the game, that ability to engage any of the housemates in a conversation, that predilection to express herself unabashedly, to show the stuff she is made is the reason she has gained a huge following and somebody to watch out for.

While it is too early to make any prediction yet, as the season is just beginning, the kind of vibes Imisi brings to the house is what many viewers are looking for.

And they don’t care whether what she is doing is strategy or not. What the fans want is entertainment and positive vibes. And that is what Imisi is giving them.

“Some people are shouting she’s using Phyna, Lycon,White money and ….. strategies. Do you think is easy to combine other strategies and still deliver?. This year, na who entertain me, I will support. No time for forming and grammar,” a BBnaija fan said on Facebook

Still, as Imisi once said, she is in Biggie’s house to show the world who she really is. “I am here to show the world who I really am, no filters, no hiding. This is a chance to test my limits and build new connections. I’m here for the challenge, the excitement, and to prove that I’m more than just a pretty face. My strategy is to be myself, build strong alliances, and always bring positive vibes, ” she once said.

Where that would take her is left for the fans to decide. But now she is giving many of them the kind of vibes they want.
