Kemi Adetiba: “I might need a third fibroid surgery”
Award-winning filmmaker, Kemi Adetiba, has revealed she may undergo a third surgery to treat fibroids, a condition she has battled for years.
The King of Boys director made the disclosure while reacting to an Instagram post by actress Ini Dima-Okojie, who also opened up about her own struggles with fibroids.
Ini had shared a heartfelt message on her page, calling for a medical breakthrough:
“We NEED a cure for fibroids. In the meantime, I hope every woman dealing with it is hanging in there. Just know that you are not alone.”
Kemi, moved by the post, responded in the comments:
“I’ve had surgery twice for this already, and it now seems I might need a third. Sigh.”
This isn’t the first time the filmmaker is going public with her condition. Back in 2015, she described it as a “severe case” that once landed her in the emergency room.
While many might assume health struggles could slow her down, Kemi has remained unstoppable in Nollywood, directing hits like The Wedding Party, King of Boys, and most recently, To Kill A Monkey.
