IVD, a popular auto dealer, was reportedly apprehended at the airport while trying to travel to Qatar.

Nigerian relationship expert, Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, has publicly condemned the arrest of her fiancé, Ikechukwu Ogbonna, aka IVD, by the Lagos State Police.

IVD, a popular auto dealer, was reportedly apprehended at the airport while trying to travel to Qatar.

According to reports, his arrest is linked to an ongoing domestic violence case involving his late wife, Bimbo, which is still in court. It’s alleged that IVD was barred from international travel until the case is resolved.

Reacting on Instagram, Blessing CEO confirmed the arrest and stated that no official ban was placed on IVD preventing him from traveling. She argued that if such a restriction existed, he would not have made his trip public.

“There was no ban whatsoever on him,” she said. “IVD has never jumped bail for three years of the ongoing case, so why would he run away now for just a 10-day trip with a return ticket?”

Blessing accused a powerful individual of using personal influence to detain IVD unjustly. “No case file, no statement—just an order from ‘Oga’ to hold him till Monday. This is not justice; it’s bullying,” she added.

She described the situation as a “tribal war” and accused the state of using its authority to intimidate her fiancé simply because he is a man. Calling on the Lagos State government to intervene, she warned that the matter could escalate if not handled appropriately.

“This is injustice. They have bullied him for over three years,” she lamented.
