A viral video circulating online shows the female nurse being ridiculed by her peers for showing up to duty despite the ongoing strike.

Popular Afrobeats star Iyanya has pledged to reward a nurse with ₦500,000 after she was publicly mocked by her colleagues for reporting to work during a national health workers’ strike.

A viral video circulating online shows the female nurse being ridiculed by her peers for showing up to duty despite the ongoing strike.

Moved by her dedication, Iyanya took to social media to praise her commitment and declared his intention to support her financially.

“Can someone find her for me? I want to give her ₦500k. She is not a health care worker for the money but for human lives,” Iyanya posted on X (formerly Twitter).

Despite receiving backlash from a few netizens who described the nurse’s decision as “bad behavior,” Iyanya stood firm in his support.

He emphasized that essential workers like her deserve compensation, not condemnation.

Responding to a critic who questioned why he would reward her, Iyanya wrote:

“What’s your definition of bad behavior? A nurse decided not to go on strike so she can save lives — being at work is bad behavior to you? She deserves some compensation, and the way she was humiliated was wrong. Find her for me; I have ₦500k for her immediately.”
