CDCFIB extends paramilitary recruitment deadline
Quick Read
Applicants are encouraged to complete their submissions before the new deadline and to disregard any unofficial platforms requesting payment or personal information.
The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has extended the deadline for its ongoing paramilitary recruitment exercise.
Initially set to close on Monday, August 4, 2025, the application portal will now remain open until Monday, August 11, 2025.
This extension, according to a statement signed by the Board Secretary, retired Major General A. M. Jibril, is aimed at giving more Nigerians the opportunity to apply for positions within the Nigeria Immigration Service, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Federal Fire Service, and Nigeria Correctional Service.
The recruitment portal, accessible at recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng, is the only official site for applications.
The board emphasized that the exercise is free of charge, and that the process will be conducted in a fair and transparent manner.
The portal was initially launched on July 14, 2025, following a delay from the original start date of June 26 due to technical issues and high web traffic. Since then, tens of thousands of applications have been submitted.
In an earlier notice dated August 1, 2025, the board instructed applicants who registered before the portal upgrade to visit update.cdcfib.gov.ng to confirm or correct their details.
Those who re-applied after the upgrade were advised that their most recent application would overwrite previous submissions.
Applicants are encouraged to complete their submissions before the new deadline and to disregard any unofficial platforms requesting payment or personal information.
For further updates and guidelines, prospective applicants are advised to monitor the CDCFIB portal and official channels.
