Iyabo Ojo reveals grand plans for Priscilla’s baby naming ceremony

Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has calmed speculations and concerns from fans regarding her daughter Priscilla’s delivery and naming ceremony, revealing that a grand celebration awaits in Lagos following Omugo (postnatal care).

Priscilla, who is currently in Canada, is expecting her first child with Tanzanian singer Juma Jux. Iyabo, who is currently with her daughter abroad, shared a brief but reassuring video message on Instagram, stating:

“My people calm down. After Omugo, Ikomo in Lagos.”

The statement has sparked excitement online, with many fans praising the actress for upholding cultural traditions while planning a Lagos-based naming ceremony (Ikomo).

During Priscilla’s recent baby shower, Iyabo delivered a heartfelt speech filled with affirmations and blessings for her daughter’s home and future. She also shared her journey of healing and motherhood, declaring that Priscilla would enjoy a lasting marriage—even if hers didn’t last.

“I’ve paid the price for Priscilla to have a happy home,” she said.

Iyabo also encouraged mothers to speak positively over their children’s lives, warning against ancestral patterns and societal curses.

Iyabo Ojo was formerly married to Ademidun Ojo, with whom she had her two children, Priscilla and Festus. Despite the early end of her marriage, she continues to maintain a close bond with her children and plays an active role in their lives.
