The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has blacklisted popular Fuji musician, Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, also known as K1 De Ultimate, over his recent disruption of boarding protocol at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.

NCAA took the decision following the alleged unruly behaviour shown K1 on board of a ValueJet aircraft.

TVC News reports that the Director of Consumer Protection at the NCAA Michael Achimugu confirmed that Wasiu Ayinde was  blacklisted from all Nigerian commercial flights for a period of six months.

Achimugu said  that the decision was made to uphold aviation safety and respect for standard procedures. The pilots involved in the incident also had their licenses temporarily suspended pending a full investigation.

The NCAA had also revealed that the  licenses temporarily suspended, pending the outcome of a full investigation

He dismissed rumors suggesting that the musician would escape sanctions due to his perceived closeness to the presidency.

Background:

K1 De Ultimate got into the  situation with a ValueJet plane at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja on August 5, 2025 when he wanted to board a ValueJet flight. He was said to have had  a flask containing a liquid alleged to be alcohol, But K1’s team claimed it was plain drinking water.

When told he couldn’t take the flask on the flight, K1 allegedly insisted on bringing it on board. After being deboarded due to refusing to comply with security regulations, K1 stood in front of the plane as it began taxiing. He had to duck to avoid being hit by the wing of the aircraft.

However, the NCAA suspended the licenses of the pilot, Captain Oluranti Ogoyi and co-pilot, First Officer Ivan Oloba) due to a “serious breach of aviation safety protocols”.
