‘It changed my life’, Davido speaks on Ifeanyi’s death

Afrobeats sensation Davido, has opened up on how the death of his son Ifeanyi, impacted his life and career.

Davido in an interview with ABC News, revealed that the loss of his son gave him a new perspective on life and his career. He disclosed that the experience was life changing.

“Stepping away after losing my son and being able to look back into my career. It gave me a refocus of how I wanted to move going forward. It changed my life. I know how many who randomly come to me at the airport to tell me how my strength has inspired them in hard times,” he said.

Davido also spoke on bouncing back after such tragedy. He expressed bis pride in himself and his wife for not losing themselves to grief and finding joy again.

“I was telling me wife the other day that I’m proud of how we bounced back. Now, we got twins. They are big and shouting everywhere. For us to be able to go through the lost of our son and be able to bounce back in a major way is huge,” Davido said.
