Chelsea eye Xavi Simons as Nkunku edges closer to Bayern move

Chelsea could step up their pursuit of Dutch star Xavi Simons, with Christopher Nkunku’s potential exit to Bayern Munich seen as key to making the deal happen.

According to transfer insiders, the Blues have been planning a summer reshuffle that would see Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson depart, paving the way for Xavi Simons and Alejandro Garnacho to join.

Nkunku is reportedly open to joining Bayern, with early discussions between the clubs already taking place. Talks began quietly when Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr made an approach for Kingsley Coman, sparking Bayern’s interest in the Chelsea forward.

Chelsea are said to be pushing for a permanent deal before signing off on Nkunku’s exit, while Xavi waits for the London club to make their move.
