Babcock 2025: Gregory University excels at NPUGA, eyes hosting right for next edition

The 2025 NPUGA Games have entered a thrilling Day 6, and all eyes are on Gregory University, Uturu (GUU), as the institution continues to make a bold statement across multiple sporting events.

From basketball courts to football fields and volleyball arenas, GUU is setting the pace and stealing the spotlight at this year’s National Private University Games, hosted at Babcock University.

GUU’s Volleyball team extended their unbeaten run with a commanding 2-0 victory over Crawford University.

In football, the GUU male team delivered a solid performance, defeating Venite University of Ekiti State 2-0, while their basketball team cruised past Ritman University from Akwa Ibom State.

Anticipation is now building for the much-awaited female football clash between GUU and Christopher University, scheduled for 3 PM today.

Meanwhile, Oduduwa University’s female football team made headlines with a 3-1 triumph over GUU  earlier in the tournament.

With each passing match, GUU continues to prove they’re not just participants but serious contenders for the NPUGA crown.

Football and basketball event have entered it’s semi -final stages while Athletics has taken center stage at Babcock 2025.
