This is because voting did not take place in five polling units three in Kyanbarawa Ward and two in Saka Jiki Ward.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has said that the by-election for the Kaura-Namoda South Constituency in Zamfara State is not yet complete. This means the final result cannot be announced yet.

The announcement was made at the Kasuwar Daji Collation Centre on Saturday, August 16, 2025. According to INEC, the All Progressives Congress (APC) got a total of 6,999 votes, while the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) got 5,339 votes. This means the APC is ahead by 1,660 votes.

INEC gave the results from six wards in the area. APC won in four of the wards and PDP won in two. For example, in Kagara Ward, APC got more votes than PDP, while in Kurya Ward, PDP got more votes than APC.

Even though APC is leading overall, INEC said the election is inconclusive.

This is because voting did not take place in five polling units three in Kyanbarawa Ward and two in Saka Jiki Ward.

INEC said there will be another round of voting in those places, and a new date will be announced soon.
