Last country without a team makes international football debut

The Marshall Islands has officially joined the world football community by playing its first international match.

Known as the last country without a national football team, the island nation faced the U.S. Virgin Islands in a friendly game.

The match ended in a 4–0 loss, but for the team and supporters, the score was less important than the achievement itself.

Their second match was against the Turks and Caicos Islands. Although they lost 3–2, it was a close and competitive game.

According to the Marshall Islands Soccer Federation, some players had never played 11-a-side football or been in an official match before. Despite that, the team showed strong effort and determination.

They expressed their pride and gratitude on social media, calling the experience unforgettable and thanking supporters who stood by them throughout the week
