President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has offered his condolences to the Governor of Kogi State, Ahmed Usman Ododo, following the death of his father, Alhaji Ahmed Momohsani Ododo. The elder Ododo passed away on Monday at the age of 83.
In a statement released on Tuesday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu described the late Alhaji Momohsani as a respected leader who lived a life of faith and service. He said the late patriarch left behind a good legacy, seen in the achievements of his children.
The President said losing a father is a deep loss for any family and encouraged Governor Ododo, his siblings, and the entire Ododo family to take comfort in the strong values their father stood for—moral discipline and religious faith.
President Tinubu said his thoughts and prayers are with the family, friends, and the people of Kogi State as they mourn.
Alhaji Momohsani Ododo was buried according to Islamic rites after the afternoon prayers on Monday. He was remembered for his service to his community and commitment to his faith.
President Tinubu prayed for his soul to rest in peace and for God to give the family strength during this time.
