The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) says it has killed over 35 terrorists near the Nigeria–Cameroon border in a series of coordinated air raids.

The operation, carried out under Operation Hadin Kai, also rescued 76 abductees, including children, in Katsina State.

Air Force spokesman, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, said the strikes were based on “credible intelligence” and targeted terrorists gathered at Kumshe to attack ground troops.

“The precision strikes hit four identified assembly points, neutralising more than 35 fighters,” he said.

He added that ground forces later moved in to stabilise the area, while NAF continues to disrupt terrorist logistics and movement corridors.

In Katsina, NAF, working with other security agencies, bombed a notorious bandit camp at Pauwa Hill in Kankara Local Government. The raid freed 76 captives, many of them children, who were abducted during an attack on Gidan Mantau, Malumfashi.

Dr. Nasir Mu’azu, Katsina Commissioner for Internal Security, confirmed the rescue. Sadly, he said one child died during the ordeal.

He identified the enclave as belonging to Babaro, a bandit kingpin behind several deadly attacks in the state.

“This operation is part of a broader strategy to dismantle criminal hideouts and restore peace to Katsina,” Mu’azu said.
