The wave of airline altercations in Nigeria is fast becoming a social media series, with the latest episode, tagged “Kwam 3” now trending online.
Just weeks after Comfort Emmanson’s viral clash with Ibom Air crew, another video surfaced showing a passenger being forcefully escorted off an Enugu Air flight by ground staff.
The footage, which has caused debates online, shows the traveler resisting before eventually being whisked away, as fellow passengers looked on.
The name “Kwam 3” was coined by netizens to humorously tag the incident as the third installment in a string of high-profile airline dramas since August 2025.
The term “Kwam” originally gained traction after comparisons were drawn to Fuji legend King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall (popularly known as KWAM1), whose name became a symbolic label for disorderly behavior in public. “Kwam 1” was first used to describe his controversial conduct, while “Kwam 2” became synonymous with Comfort Emmanson’s fiery confrontation aboard Ibom Air.
Emmanson, who allegedly assaulted cabin crew after refusing to switch off her phone before takeoff on August 10, was dragged off the plane in a chaotic scene that left her clothing torn.
The incident earned her a lifetime ban from Ibom Air, a court case, and nationwide ridicule.
