Road to 2026 World Cup: Morocco, Egypt close in on qualification

The race for qualification to the 2026 FIFA World Cup is entering a decisive phase across Africa, and two of the continent’s football powerhouses  Egypt and Morocco  are within touching distance of confirming their participation at the tournament.

Both nations have delivered strong performances in their qualifying groups, putting them in commanding positions with only four matches left to play. Egypt, led by their star players and backed by an experienced squad, have shown consistency in both attack and defense, giving their fans renewed confidence of an early ticket to the global showpiece.

Morocco, still riding on the momentum from their historic semi-final run at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, have also been impressive, dominating their group and maintaining an unbeaten record.
