Popular Nigerian singer, Korede Bello, has shared a reflection on life, urging his fans to focus more on living meaningfully rather than merely praying for long life.

In a new episode of his Wellness Wednesday series, the “Godwin” crooner explained that people often worry about how many years they will spend on earth, forgetting that true value lies in the quality of their impact.

According to him, “It’s not enough to live long. What matters is you live well. The cells in our bodies, the neurons in our brains, the organs — everything is keeping us alive long enough for us to do something good, to contribute to the ecosystem of life.”

He emphasized that history is full of great figures who didn’t live long but left lasting legacies. He cited Alexander the Great, who died at 32 after conquering much of the known world, and Jesus Christ, whose influence endures centuries after his short time on earth.

Korede urged fans to see wellness not as an end in itself, but as a way to remain alive long enough to fulfill their purpose.
“Be well so that you can be alive and do that thing you’re here to do. Leave the room better than you met it,” he said.

The singer signed off with a reminder that greatness is about contribution, not just survival.
“Happy Wellness Wednesday. Be well and be great,” he concluded.
