DJ Cuppy under fire over comment on Temi Otedola’s wedding

Nigerian disc jockey, Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, has stirred conversations online after boldly declaring that her sister, Temi Otedola, had “the wedding of the century.”

Taking to the microblogging platform X (formerly Twitter), Cuppy praised the intimate ceremony between Temi and singer Mr Eazi, describing it as subtle, elegant, and pure magic from start to finish.

“My sister @TemiOtedola had THE wedding of the century… subtle, intimate, and effortlessly elegant. #LoveIsEazi was pure magic from start to finish. Anyone there couldn’t help but feel inspired. Argue with your group chat,” she wrote.

Media personality Patrick Doyle weighed in, comparing the Otedola-Eazi wedding with Davido and Chioma’s earlier lavish ceremony.

According to Doyle, Davido’s wedding was a “gaudy carnival,” while Temi’s celebration stood out for its “quiet sophistication and a carefully curated guest list.”

Cuppy later admitted that she was so captivated by Temi’s Vogue-featured wedding photos that she scrolled through them in church instead of paying attention to the service.

She also described the day as one of the most emotional moments of her life, urging fans to send love to “the new Mrs Ajibade.”
