President Bola Tinubu has returned to Abuja after spending part of his annual holiday in France.
The presidential jet touched down at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport on Tuesday evening around 6:45 pm, where he was welcomed by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State, and other senior government officials.
Tinubu departed Nigeria on September 4, 2025, for France to observe part of his annual leave. Though earlier reports suggested he would split the holiday between France and the United Kingdom, he ultimately concluded the vacation in France.
During his stay in Paris, Tinubu held a private luncheon with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace. The two leaders reportedly reviewed strategic areas of cooperation and pledged to deepen bilateral ties for shared prosperity and global stability.
This marks Tinubu’s seventh trip to Paris since assuming office in May 2023. In the first nine months of 2025 alone, the President has embarked on 15 international trips across 11 countries, attending summits, bilateral engagements, state visits, and official inaugurations.
His most recent engagements included the BRICS Summit in Brazil, the Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9) in Japan, and a state visit to Saint Lucia, where he addressed CARICOM leaders.
