The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has claimed that Nigerian online fraudsters, popularly known as Yahoo Boys are responsible for the tighter Visa restrictions.

The EFCC chairman, Ola Olukoyede, on Tuesday made this known in a statement, while advising youths to say no to fraud.

He also explained the damage the increase in online scam does to the country and its international reputation. Olukoyede stressed that crimes like that tarnish Nigeria’s image which results in tighter restrictions for Nigerians who travel.

“Fr@ud is not success; it is a trap. Easy come, easy go. Those who embrace ‘yahoo-yahoo’ often lose their freedom, reputation, and future. The law is catching up with them, and digital footprints never disappear. Don’t ruin your tomorrow with shortcuts today,” he said.
