Fresh hope for job seekers as Air Peace announces 1,000 vacancies

Quick Read

Applications can be made through flyairpeace.com/graduate-trainee-program.

Nigeria’s biggest airline, Air Peace, has announced that it will employ 1,000 fresh graduates through its 2025/2026 Graduate Trainee Programme.

The company said this decision follows the Federal Government’s suspension of the 4% Free on Board levy on imported goods.

The levy had earlier caused complaints from manufacturers, importers, and clearing agents, who said it would increase inflation and harm businesses.

The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Wale Edun, explained that the suspension was necessary to protect trade, economic stability, and Nigeria’s business environment.

Air Peace Chairman, Allen Onyema, praised President Bola Tinubu and Wale Edun for responding to the concerns of businesses. He said the suspension was a big relief for the aviation industry and prevented job losses. In return, the airline decided to create 1,000 new jobs for young Nigerians.

Onyema said that this shows how government and private companies can work together to support the economy. He added that with more support like this, thousands of jobs could be created in aviation and other sectors.

The Graduate Trainee Programme will give young graduates training, mentorship, and practical experience to prepare them for careers in aviation and related industries.

Requirements for applicants:
Must be 30 years old or younger at the time of application
Must have at least a Second Class Lower (2:2) in any course from a recognized university

Must have an NYSC discharge certificate, exemption, or exclusion letter
Must show passion, adaptability, and willingness to learn

Applications can be made through flyairpeace.com/graduate-trainee-program.

The deadline for applications is September 30, 2025.
