Nigerian culinary star, Chef Dammy, has dismissed rumours claiming she intends to attempt a Guinness World Record by cooking the largest pot of beans.
The chef, who gained nationwide attention in 2023 after her viral cook-a-thon attempt, clarified her stance while celebrating Hilda Baci’s recent Guinness World Record victory for cooking the largest pot of jollof rice.
In a statement shared online, Dammy praised Hilda for her resilience and for placing Nigeria once again on the global culinary map. She described the recognition as a major win for the country’s food industry.
Addressing the speculations surrounding her, Chef Dammy said she has no such plans to embark on a “beans marathon” or any record-breaking food project at this time.
Instead, she noted that her focus remains on growing her culinary brand, expanding her business ventures, and inspiring young Nigerians passionate about cooking.
“I have no plans of cooking the largest pot of beans. My energy is directed towards my personal growth, brand building, and motivating the next generation of chefs,” she said.
