In three successive precision strikes, the strike aircraft targeted the terrorists along movement routes and assembly areas, inflicting devastating losses.

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), operating under the Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai (AC OPHD), has successfully neutralised more than 25 terrorists in a precision night operation across the Bula Yobe-Banki axis of Borno State.

The raid, which took place on 18 September, 2025, was executed after intelligence from ground forces indicated suspicious movements of terrorist fighters regrouping in the area.

Acting swiftly, the NAF deployed a force package comprising Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) assets and attack aircraft.

The ISR platform established contact with ground troops, tracked the terrorists’ movements and confirmed the presence of multiple clusters of fighters north of Banki.

Real-time data was relayed to the operations base, allowing coordinated action between air and land forces.

In three successive precision strikes, the strike aircraft targeted the terrorists along movement routes and assembly areas, inflicting devastating losses.

Post-strike surveillance confirmed the elimination of more than 25 fighters, while ground troops maintained firm defensive positions without further enemy threats detected.

According to Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information at NAF Headquarters, the successful mission underscores the Air Force’s unwavering commitment to supporting ground operations, denying terrorists freedom of action, and ensuring lasting security in Nigeria’s North-East.

He noted that such operations are part of NAF’s sustained counter-terrorism campaign, designed to break insurgent networks and restore peace to communities long terrorised by armed groups.
