Nollywood actress Sarah Martins has taken a firm stand against body shaming, stressing that women who choose to undergo cosmetic surgery deserve respect rather than criticism.

In a post shared via Instagram on Sunday, Martins condemned those who mock women for enhancing their bodies through procedures like liposuction.

According to her, many people do not understand the effort required to achieve successful results.

“Stop talking down on people who got their body done,” she wrote. “If you knew the amount of work they put in just to get a good result, you would understand that liposuction will not fix your massive weight. Liposuction can fix a belly that has already lost a huge amount of weight, not your whole body!”

She explained that liposuction alone is not a magic solution, pointing out that many patients often combine it with gastric bypass surgery or strict lifestyle changes to achieve long-term results.

Martins further advised women to pursue whatever makes them happy, whether it means embracing their natural figure or enhancing it through surgery.

“It’s your money and your happiness, too, so do what works for you!” she added. “Even naturally curvy women who work hard to maintain their figure are accused of surgery because people don’t believe they are naturally built that way.”

The actress also emphasized that surgery does not excuse poor lifestyle choices, warning that without proper diet and exercise, results can quickly fade.

She concluded her post with a bold message: “STOP BODY SHAMING PEOPLE!!!!!”
