Customs officers’ wives donate medical materials to hospitals in Ogun

Members of Customs Officers’ Wives Association (COWA), Ogun I Command Chapter, recently visited the General Hospital and the Customs Medical Center, both in Idirokoto the part of the state where they donated some essential items for use of patients.
Led by their Chairperson, Mrs. Fausat Otunla, the COWA team donated mosquito nets, bed sheets to both institutions.
At the General Hospital, the team was warmly received by the Chief Medical Director, Dr. Kilanko Margaret, and her team.
The hospital’s executives and members were taken on a tour of the wards, where patients and pregnant women attending antenatal clinics were presented with gist items.
Dr. Kilanko expressed her heartfelt gratitude to COWA, stating that the donations would significantly improve patients’ welfare.
She also assured the association that the hospital would be happy to provide medical outreach to COWA members and their spouses.
At the Customs Medical Center, COWA’s donation was received with equal appreciation by Superintendent of Customs (SC) Dr. Abdulmalik Zakariyyah.
He thanked the association for their kindness and support.
He noted that the items donated would have a positive impact on the medical center.
Mrs. Otunla emphasized that the initiative was part of COWA’s commitment to community development and the well-being of families within and around Idiroko area of Ogun State.
She reiterated the association’s resolve to continually support health institutions and enhance the living conditions of the people.
“This selfless act is a testament to COWA’s compassionate vision and its dedication to contributing to the health and welfare of communities.
“This CSR activity once again underscores the compassionate vision of COWA and its contribution to the health and welfare of communities”, she stated.
