Chief Victor Ogba, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta, has said recent comments by former Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasir El-Rufai against President Bola Tinubu were unhelpful and capable of distracting from the administration’s reform agenda.
According to Ogba, El-Rufai’s criticisms reflect long-standing political differences rather than genuine concern for national progress.
He, however, advised President Tinubu to disregard the remarks.
“President Tinubu should not allow himself to be drawn into unnecessary exchanges. Nigerians are interested in results, not distractions,” Ogba who is also President of the Movement for National Transformation (MNT) said in an interview in Abuja on Saturday.
He also urged Nigerians to focus on the achievements of the Tinubu administration, noting that the President had demonstrated commitment to economic recovery, national unity, and inclusive governance.
The APC chieftain described the President as a leader with a national outlook, adding that ongoing reforms would speak louder than personal attacks.
Ogba also called on Nigerians to rally behind the government, stressing that unity and support were vital for overcoming current challenges.
