Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has commended President Bola Tinubu for setting Nigeria on a path of sustainable development through his administration’s focused and pragmatic policies.
Speaking on Friday at the inauguration of the Collector Road C01 in the Institution and Research District, linking the Body of Benchers complex to Nile and Baze Universities, Wike said Tinubu’s leadership is laying a strong foundation for long-term national growth.
“President Tinubu never promised to solve all of Nigeria’s problems at once, but he is determined to place the country on a steady course of progress,” Wike stated, adding that “When he finishes, another leader will continue from there.”
The minister stressed that governance is a continuous process and that no administration can address every challenge within a single term.
“What matters is the contribution you make when you have the opportunity. History will remember every leader for their impact, and that is what truly counts,” he said.
Wike pledged that the FCT Administration would continue to deliver people-centred projects within available time and resources, adding that the newly constructed road would primarily benefit the academic community.
“The major beneficiaries of this project are not the Body of Benchers, but the students and staff of the two private universities in the area,” he said.
He urged institutions and citizens to recognise and appreciate the Tinubu administration’s development efforts, saying such acknowledgment reflects responsible citizenship.
“If you recognise good efforts, you become a good citizen and that is the duty of every patriotic Nigerian,” Wike added.
