“The Commission was founded to protect citizens against administrative injustice. In an era that demands transparency, inclusion, and ethical leadership, the Ombudsman must remain an independent and accessible institution for redress,” Tinubu said.

He urged the PCC to harness technology to become a “digital Ombudsman” capable of real-time complaint tracking, data-driven policy insights, and seamless coordination with ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs).

According to the President, adapting to the evolving governance landscape is essential if the Commission is to remain relevant in a digitally driven world. He also pledged to address the Commission’s funding challenges and invest in capacity building to enhance staff performance and service delivery.
