Nigerian rapper, Zlatan Ibile, has spoken about his fatherhood journey and how it has affected him. While speaking on the ‘Is This A Safe Space?’ podcast, the artist revealed that being a father greatly affected his finances.

He revealed that he had to re-evaluate his life and make major changes to accommodate his new role and responsibility.

“The birth of my son changed me. It made me realise that life was getting more serious. I wasn’t prepared. I started paying house rent in London at 25. I was scared I might not be able to keep up with the bills because some people were saying I might not be relevant in the music industry for more than three years,” he stated.

Zlatan also disclosed that he became more serious and committed to saving. He also added that he put an end to some habits after welcoming his son.

“I became more serious with managing my finances. Limited spending and started saving for diapers,” he added.
